Hike with Katie - Brooke Preserve

So glad we moved the day for our BP walk. When we saw that Sunday, our original hke day was going to be a rain event, we changed it up

Saturday was spectacularly beautiful.

Hike leader Katie Bateson took the group on an hour-long hike through the hardwood forest on CLT's 50+ property. The walk included a look at the variety of forest understory plants including wintergreen, sedges, club moss, an assortment of ferns and woodland asters as well as mushroom populations in the forest.
