Earth Day At Cheshire Academy 2019

Bright sunshine certainly helped to infuse good vibes for Cheshire Academy's Earth Day Celebration. It was also a wonderful opportunity for Cheshire Land Trust to talk about conservation and the environment.

We had the opportunity to talk with students and staff and meet other conservation groups including the Nature Conservancy, Save the Sound and Quinnipiac River Water Association.

The kids who stopped by were curious about the land trust, very interested in land trust properties to hike, as well as environmental issues. They were also happy to share their knowledge of conservation, the environment and especially recycling and climate change.

James Albis, Senior Advisor to the Commissioner at Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was the featured speaker.

These young people know it's up to them now to get us back on track. Thanks to the CA students and others like them, the future looks very promising.

Our thanks to Cheshire Academy for the invitation. Thanks also to CLT's Pam Roach for managing the Cheshire Land Trust table.
